A full apartment moving service — from packing to furniture placement in your new home.
Apartment moving is the type of move most people encounter most often — and that's exactly why it has the most nuances that are easy to overlook. A narrow stairwell in an Old Town building, a lift too small for larger items, or simply a fifth floor with no lift — all of this affects how long and how labour-intensive the process will be, which is why we work it out at the request stage rather than on moving day.
The service covers the whole journey from your current apartment to the new one — packing your belongings, carrying and loading them, transport and unloading, and placing furniture in the new space according to your instructions. We work both with full apartment moves and with situations where you move part of your belongings yourself and only entrust us with the heaviest or most awkward items.
If a building has no lift, or the lift is too small, we take that into account while preparing the quote — not discover the problem on moving day.
Fragile items (dishes, mirrors, electronics) are packed with suitable materials so they're not at risk during transport.
If wardrobes or beds need to be taken apart to fit through doors or down stairs, we do that and reassemble them in the new apartment afterwards.
Apartment moves are often tied to a specific key-handover date — we plan the work around your deadlines.
To avoid surprises on moving day, our quote already states exactly what's included in the service and what's an add-on you can use as needed.
*Removal of larger quantities or several items is agreed individually — it can fall outside the scope of the base service.
Every district in Riga has its own quirks. In Old Town and the city centre you often have to reckon with narrow streets, difficult access, and old buildings without a lift — this calls for more careful planning and sometimes a longer carrying route. In newer districts such as Purvciems, Pļavnieki, or Imanta, buildings usually have lifts and wider access, which speeds up the work. In areas with houses and mid-rise buildings outside the centre (Mārupe, Salaspils, Ķekava), vehicle access is usually simpler. Whatever the district — give your address in the request form and we'll take the specific building's characteristics into account when preparing the quote.
Fragile items — dishes, mirrors, electronics, artwork — are packed separately from the rest of your belongings and positioned during transport so nothing sits on top of them. Furniture is covered or wrapped to avoid scratches to both the furniture and the door and wall surfaces while carrying it out and in. If you have particularly valuable or fragile items, mention them in the request form — we'll discuss them separately before work begins.
Tenants often have a specific deadline tied to the move — the end of a lease or conditions for the return of a deposit, which may require the apartment to be left empty and clean by a set date. If your situation has a fixed deadline like this, mention it in the request form — it helps us plan moving day so we make it on time, without leaving everything to the last minute.
Tell us the floor and lift access at both addresses, the approximate volume of belongings, and your preferred date.
We assess your situation and send a quote that matches your exact volume and route.
We confirm moving day, taking into account your schedule and, if relevant, the key-handover time.
We pack, carry out, transport, and place your belongings in the new apartment according to your instructions.
